Stephen floated a few inches off the ground. "Not precisely where I was aiming, but close enough."

"Close enough?!" Vera spat, shaking in fear of how high they were. Isn't it funny how she flies but is terrified of heights when stationary? "What if we died? We could have fallen! O-o-or worse!"
Nicky, who was still observing Stephen with a creepy stare, cleared her throat in order to defend "her man". "He tried his best, Vera. Without him, we could have been dried up balls of flesh. Thanks, Stevie Weevie." Nicky - as Animal - winked towards him and blew a kiss.

He looked at Vera with a sarcastic expression. "Girl, you can fly. Cool your shit." Stephen was highly creeped by Nicky, and uninterested. He ignored her, clearing his throat. "Getting down is easy." He turned to the side, looked down, then jumped, landing a few inches above the ground below. "Now you two." He mentally pushed them both off the roof.

Vera screamed all the way down, eyes closed and limbs flailing as the wind caught her before she could face-plant. She willed herself into a hovering position, legs crossed and folded beneath her as she levitated. Her eyes were still wide in terror.
Nicky, on the other hand, crashed into the ground. The concrete beneath her was cracked, but at least the huge creature was cool. She stood up groggily as the actual Nicky slowly started to take her form back.
Noticing the fur on Animal's arms beginning to change back to human skin, Vera unwrapped her face and handed Nicky the long veil. "You'll need this."
"Thanks." Nicky smiled, but didn't budge. Her brain still belonged to Animal, however.

Stephen's cloths returned to modern style, jeans and a t-shirt, but the t-shirt still had the symbol that his suit had on the front. "Everyone okay? Okay then, good." He got his phone out of his pocket and turned it on, seeing what the time was. "Thwarted a kidnapping and escaped a villain in under 30 minutes. Swag." While he typically avoided the saying, it pretty much fit the situation.

Vera was tempted to smack Stephen then. "No. Never." She shoved past him and floated towards the main entrance.
Nicky stayed behind, looking Stephen up and down, licking her lips as she slowly began to change form.
"Nickolette Madeleine McCoy! Come!"

Stephen mentally pushed Vera before phasing through the wall and going to his room to watch Prototype This.

Nicky changed form just in time. With the long veil secured around herself, she quickly followed behind Vera.
