Training Room

Subject: Training Room Mon May 06, 2013 6:09 pm

Stephen walked in, looking around. He pointed his phaser at a dummy and blasted a hole through it.

Damien Allerdyre walked into the training room, minding his own business, looking for some mutants to offend. He paused in the doorway when he caught sight of one, a sick smile on his lips. "Hello." He smiled cheerfully to the boy.

Stephen shot another dummy. "Hi." He glanced over his shoulder at the man. "Can I help you in some way?"

Damien frowned and shook his head with a shrug. "Nah. Just..." He pursed his lips quizzically and scratched his jaw, kind of like how a salesman does when he's launching a pitch. "I was admiring that phaser you have there. Surely you didn't make it yourself, correct?"

"Not completely. I just bought it and modified it." He shrugged. "Why?"

Again, the man shrugged. "No reason. I was just going to say that your handiwork is phenomenal. But - alas - you did not make it yourself." Damien shook his head like he was genuinely disappointed in him.

Stephen shrugged. "I've made other stuff. This is just a fan tribute to Star Trek." He stated simply. He shot another dummy, incinerating the thing for the hell of it.

"Tsk, tsk." He sighed as he strode over to a nearby bench and sat. "Such a beautiful weapon. Created in immaturity just to **** up the dummies. Ever tried that on a person, kiddo?" Damien asked with a bored expression. His hand retrieved a lighter from his pocket and began flicking it on and off...on and off.

"Yep. Who're you, the phaser police?" Stephen scoffed, spinning the phaser back into its holster. He began to float, leaning back in the air similar to Marshal Lee. He slowly went around the room, floating in-between dummies and such.

"No, I'm Damien Allerdyre. Something tells me that you're new." Damien mused. Hopefully that last name didn't ring any bells.

"Yup. Is that a problem?" He yawned and floated around.

A cruel smile played on the young man's lips. "Absolutely not. However, surely you don't know about what they really do here...?"

"No, I don't. But I'm a psychometer. So I'll find out on my own pretty easy." He shrugged and yawned.

Damien sniffed. "You're in for a rude awakening, kid." He leaned forward and put a hand on the side of his mouth. "This ain't what you think it is. They're going to try to test on you." His voice shook with worry and fear. "I know, it sounds ridiculous. But please. I know a place where we can be safe."

"Is that so?" Stephen raised an eyebrow. "I don't take just anyone's word for anything. Especially the word of a man I just met. As a man of science, I request proof. Actual proof."

Damien raised an eyebrow. "You want proof?" He calmly stood and glided towards a door marked "supply closet". He jimmied the knob, then picked the lock. The door opened to reveal a long hallway with cages packed full of unconscious mutants with their mouths taped. "I tried to sneak them out. Now they're next." He said quietly.

"Hm." Stephen walked along, randomly touching the mutants. He raised an eyebrow skeptically, then shook his head. "Hm. This doesn't look too good."

Damien nodded sincerely, face a mix of distressed emotions. "I'm trying to help you, or else you'll end up like that." What he didn't say is that these were his new mutants, ready to be sent to Genosha.

Suddenly, Stephen chuckled dryly. He slammed Damien into a wall with his Force type powers. "Nice try dude. I can do psychometry. Meaning, I can see the past or present of anything I touch. Meaning, I can read thoughts and memories." He smirked.

Damien returned his smirk, the fire in his eyes now exquisitely visible. "It was worth a shot." Suddenly the flame in his hand began to grow until it reached the size of a softball. Instead of sending it towards the kid, Damien willed it towards the dummies. Flames erupted immediately.

Stephen whipped out the phaser and pointed it at Damien. He concentrated energy into a hand and left off a huge wind-like blast of Force to take out all the flames. He coughed a bit, covering his mouth with his arm.

"Go ahead!" Damien laughed with a shrug. "Shoot me. I doubt you have the nerve." More flames crept along the floor, wrapping around all flammable material.

"That's where you're wrong." He shot Damien with the phaser, not bothering to look where he had shot as he then ran out of the room.

Quickly Damien picked apart the heat in the heat in the blast and simply took the - now small - zap in his shoulder. He laughed wickedly as the boy exited causing more flames to spread...when a gust of wind extinguished them. Wide-eyed, the man look at the girl. With a silent conversation, Damien took off.
